All you need to do is set the alarm time by holding the alarm button, then press up/down to set hrs, then press alarm, then up/down to set mins. **Q: Dose this alarm clock show am/pm and dose this also have a loud alarm sound and a auto black light for night?** A: The display can be set to 12 or 24 hour so will show am/pm if in 12 hour. The alarm is not deafening but loud enough.
