Review: Excellent product - We live in San Jose, California, and we recently got a 55" Sony flat-screen TV. The Sony stand is sturdy, but you can shake the TV and cause it to topple. Earthquakes tend to do this. This product is well-designed and implemented in my opinion. There are two sturdy nylon straps, each with attachments for the TV and for the table or wall, which are intended to be semi-permanently attached. Each strap is adjustable and has a quick-release buckle, like on backpacks, which are essential in case you need to move the TV to get behind it. Two lag bolts are supplied, for anchoring in wall studs, if you so choose. Mine hasn't been tested yet in situ, but I am confident it will work well. The instructions are very clear, and installation is easy. I highly recommend this product, it is worth $25. Suggestions: after installation, tighten the straps only enough to take up slack, don't put tension on the straps, as this will tend to eventually loosen the adhesive (probably after a few years). Also, be sure to put the quake grip putty under the base of the TV, as earthquakes tend to make things hop around.

I wanted something that was easy to install but held the TV solidly in place and the 4520 worked like a charm. Five minutes from the moment I opened the packaging until the TV was held firmly in place. The best part is the super strong adhesive that allows you to install without the use of tools and drilling into the TV stand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best on the market, if modified.

This is the best system I have found for earthquake safety with a large television, when modified. The straps on this are very sturdy (unlike many I have tried) and are long enough to allow for the television to stand out on the furniture rather than right up against the wall. I installed them to the studs in the wall behind the cabinet (for extra protection) behind the television (in the bottom fourth of the screen area if you could see through the TV) and used simple three inch metal straps, one per quakehold strap, laid across the quakehold strap when just shy of taught from the TV to the wall, so it has a tiny bit of give, and then used one and one half or two inch size ten wood screws, one through a metal strap hole into one side of the stud and one into another metal strap hole through a hole in the quakehold strap and into the stud through the wall. Before attaching the television (which I moved aside) I pulled, hard, on each strap and they were very, very strongly attached to the wall. Behind the television, in case earthquake somehow knocked it backward, I positioned two soft, cardboard boxes strategically, far enough away to hold it up without compromising sound. Unlike earthquake kits that force you to keep the television perfectly vertical and prevent any movement at all, this system allows the television to move in minor earthquakes without causing stress or damage to the metal housing (as you would see with a system that prevents any movement at all by putting stress on the metal housing where it is attached). This is safe, secure, stretchy enough to not damage the television in a minor earthquake and sturdy enough to pull it back and keep it from falling on a child or animal during a quake (but any time you screw into the back, if there is a quake strong enough to knock it off, it will damage the metal housing of your TV which doesn't matter if it saves your family). In other words, installed using metal straps to the wall, these straps are the best on the market. However, if installed as directed, like many other systems, you have no guarantees. Good luck making your decision.
