"Action! It's so creative! I love that it's so 6 and 7 year old friendly. It's really really cool! It's cool because every Danny Dragonbreath book has a big problem that Danny and his friends have to solve. It really should be called the adventures of Danny and Wendell - you'd think they were brothers. I really like that Danny and Wendell are such good friends. And that is all." Now, from a Mom perspective ... this is the latest book in this great series, and it doesn't disappoint. I love that the books slip in a little bit of science and critical thinking along with the fun action. Danny, Wendell, and Christiana are good role models for children, and Danny's cheerful outlook on life is quite infectious. The illustrations are great, and the writing is fast paced and appealing to younger readers and parents alike. I recommend the series highly. Review: So much fun! Action packed too! - I just love, love, love Danny Dragonbreath and Wendell. And the stories which include Christiana are even more entertaining as there is a certain dynamic in the Danny/Christiana relationship that just cracks me up. And Wendell's fear of having to eat more organic health food creations rings true to my heart as that is how my own mother was. I really do think I might even enjoy these stories more than my 7 year old does! (Shhhhhhh!) One thing that does disappoint me though is that I cannot lend these Kindle books. They are not cheap, that's for sure (especially for a Kindle book on which I typically will spend no more than $4) and I know if I were able to lend mine out, Ms. Vernon would have another large group of fans...none of the parents I know are familiar with the Danny Dragonbreath series, and I know they would love it. Maybe put some kind of limitation on lending...like a max of 2 times per book, or something. Especially with its price!
