I have cleaning rags made from waffle fabric, and they work great, but I don't want to wear them.** A: I think it feels great. It is light weight and doesn’t stick to your skin as much as terry if you are still wet from shower or hot tub. Personally, I won’t go back to terry unless they stop making waffle fabric ones! That’s me. **Q: Could someone measure one of these wraps and give the actual dimensions (length, width)?** A: I bought an XXL even though Amazon said I should order a L because I wanted LOTS of overlap. The XXL is 48" around the chest, so with 5"+5"=10" of overlap, should fit a body that is about 38" wide under the armpits. I measure 40" there, so it fits just fine with 4"+4" = 8" of overlap. At the bottom edge, the width is 65" (the top is gathered a little.). Lots of extra space around hips, which I like. It is 33" in length. I am 5'-6", and it goes to the middle or below my knee. I will probably hem it shorter bc I want to use it for walking and stepping into the hot tub. Being below the knee, this towel would get wet when I step in. I will measure, cut, and sew by hand to make it the length I want. I'll probably fold it up and pin it or clip it first to try it out. **Q: Is this thick enough to actually dry off with after a shower or pool, or would you dry off first then put this on?** A: It is rather thin. I dry off with a towel first and then use the wrap while I’m brushing my teeth, putting on my makeup, blow drying my hair, etc. I like that it is light weight. Size 12 on bottom with thick thighs and booty. The large fit perfect with plenty of room to be comfortable all over. The top doesn’t slide around at all thanks to a generous Velcro closure and wide elastic back. The front seem does not gape open on me. (I have a little bit of a belly. ) On opening it had a bad chemical smell. I washed it twice in cold water and the smell was gone. I dry it on low and it comes out perfect. I feel like it gets softer with more washes. It is light weight and perfect for warm weather mornings when the bathroom is too hot for a robe. (Let me be clear… this is not meant to replace drying off with a towel) Some reviews say the material is too thin.
