Review: A surprisingly handy tool for the price. - Used to remove nails from old boards in a shed ramp I rebuilt. Right out of the box it worked just as it should. Nearly every nail came out easily. The only exceptions were nails that were very bent and couldn't be straightened enough or were embedded in wood that had gotten very wet. But, even in those instances it pushed the nail through enough so I could easily remove it with a hammer, or in one case just yanking it out with my fingers. These were ribbed nails that had previously been set with a nail gun. A few required a couple of pings. All in all, this tool saved me a lot of time and effort. Well worth the money. Review: Probably the most useful tool I have ever purchased - Every tool has its designed use, and this one has a very narrow range of application. But for that application, it is fantastic. I had a wooden deck, whereby I was removing rotten joist while keeping the top boards in place. Once I cut out the joist. I was left with hundreds and hundreds of 3 inch nails sticking down through the deck boards. Initially, I used a hammer and laid on my back and tried to pound them out which worked but was frustrating and painful and tedious and horrible and required me to go on top and pull all the nails I had tapped up right. I got this tool and from underneath all I had to do was insert the tool around the nail and pull the trigger and the nail flew anywhere from 20 feet upwards to 60 feet in the air. Zero effort, instant gratification. It removed all of the nails I ever wanted in truly a fraction of the time and effort. If that’s what you need to use it for, it is nothing but amazing. ## Features - Construction Applications: Designed for punching and removing straight or bent nails out of wood to repurpose and reuse, much faster and easier than nail puller hand tools - Work Materials: Denail floorboards, clapboards, siding, skids and pallets, crates, barn lumber, sheathing, and wood decks without damage - Compatible Nails: 9 – 14 gauge nails of any length - Built Strong: One piece hardened steel drive blade results in a durable pneumatic tool resistant to damage - Ergonomic Body: Rugged but also lightweight and comfortable for extended use - Comfort Grip Handle: Reduces fatigue during long shifts and increases control - 360 Degree Adjustable Exhaust: Conveniently allows user to direct air away from face ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07MM5ZXY8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #16,800 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #13 in Power Nailers | | Color | Black Color433 | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (632) | | Date First Available | January 10, 2019 | | Included Components | Pneumatic Punch Nailer / Nail Remover | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 1.8 pounds | | Item model number | SPNNR | | Manufacturer | PGP | | Material | Heat-treated steel drive blade; Die cast aluminum body | | Measurement System | Metric | | Part Number | SPNNR | | Power Source | air_powered | | Product Dimensions | 8.88 x 2.25 x 9.5 inches | | Style | Remover | ## Images ![SPNNR Pneumatic 9-Gauge to 14-Gauge Punch Nailer/Nail Remover - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61W5uCE2-xL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How do you use to remove nails from pallets. I must be doing something wrong :/** A: Must be hooked up to air compressor. It put it on a nail that is sticking out and it will push the head out so that it is real easy to finish pulling out with hammer. **Q: What’s the best method/location that you have found? The gun works AMAZING but it shoots the nails (out) all over my garage floor, etc.** A: I crumple up a bunch of plastic shopping bags, an old drop cloth, (or anything else that can absorb the shock of the flying nails) and put them in a cardboard box. Then I make sure the nails I’m extracting are pointed into the box of crumply stuff. Every once in a while, one will fly out, so I make sure I’m wearing safety glasses and nobody else is around while I’m using it. **Q: is the piston replaceable?** A: If you read the manual I'm sure there is a number you can call to get replacment but it is so cheap you probably can just get a new one **Q: Hey, my father in law based in Ireland purchased this. Do you know if any adaptors will be needed?** A: I did not use any adaptor when I use it ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A surprisingly handy tool for the price. *by D***F on September 5, 2026* Used to remove nails from old boards in a shed ramp I rebuilt.
