The VINCA DTCR-03 RS232 Digital Caliper Data cable worked with my other non-VINCA caliper (NIEKO tools) which makes it very useful and increased its value. The VINCA DTCR-03 RS232 does not use RS232 serial protocol, it enumerates as a USB device. It appears that many of the cheap Calipers use the same protocol and the only difference is the wire connecting the VINCA DTCR-03 RS232 to the caliper. In general, this is a very useful interface if you want to connect your caliper to the PC and get your data immediately transferred to an Excel spreadsheet with a press of a button.
