There is a fix and you should be able to find a kit for it on Amazon. The kit has a plastic piece that you put over the "eye" or reader (near the needle) that will aid in by-passing how the coffee machine reads the label. On the foil label of authentic keurig pods, the outer edge of the foil covering is a ring. It is what authenticates to the coffee machine that the pod is genuine keurig. A couple of years after they made this model machine, the patent expired on the pods. Thereby, allowing people the right to use other manufacturer's pods. However.... that is only good for Keurig machines made after these models. So if you have a model that gives you errors about your pods, look for that "fix" that will bypass this error.
