Designed for easy plug-and-play installation inside the waterproof Telemetry Expander 2.0, it eliminates speed inaccuracies caused by wheelspin or gear ratios. Fully compatible with the Traxxas Link App, this module ensures seamless setup and reliable telemetry for serious RC enthusiasts. ## Description Upgrade Your Traxxas Model with the TQi Telemetry GPS Speed Module 2.0. Standard telemetry sensors use your vehicle’s gear ratio and tire size to calculate speed based on RPM. This system works well for hard surfaces, but wheelspin on loose surfaces causes inaccurate speed readings. The Telemetry Expander 2.0 with the installed GPS Module 2.0 provides the most accurate speed data possible. The Traxxas GPS Module 2.0 uses both GPS and GLONASS global positioning to deliver precise, real time speed information via the Traxxas Link App on your TQi Radio System with Traxxas Link Wireless Module. The GPS Module 2.0 installs easily inside the waterproof Telemetry Expander Module 2.0 (TRA6550X, sold separately). The Traxxas Link App automatically recognizes the sensor with no other programming or setup required. Once the GPS module is installed, the speedometer reverts to GPS speed instead of estimating the MPH based on gearing and motor RPM. Nothing needs to be reset; just select your preferred gauge and start receiving accurate speed data through the Traxxas Link App. Features: Uses GPS and GLONASS global positioning for accurate, real time speed Speed readout not affected by gear ratio or tire size Easy plug and play installation; no programming required Waterproof when installed Automatically detected and configured by the Traxxas Link App Important Note: The GPS Module 2.0 (TRA6551X) and Telemetry Expander 2.0 (TRA6550X) replace the original Telemetry Expander (TRA6550) and GPS Module (TRA6551). The originals are not compatible with the new 2.0 versions. ## Features - MPN_6551X, product_trx, RCS-TRX-SORT, TRX-PART, TRX_PART ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07MXNLTGM | | Additional Features | Waterproof | | Best Sellers Rank | #611,355 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #593 in RC Radio Transmitters | | Brand | Traxxas | | Built-In Media | (1) GPS Speed Telemetry Module | | Compatible Devices | Smartphone, Tablet | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Radio-Controlled Vehicles | | Connectivity Protocol | Proprietary Traxxas Wireless Protocol | | Connectivity Technology | Bluetooth | | Control Method | Remote | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (57) | | Display Type | LCD | | Human-Interface Input | Touchscreen | | Item Weight | 1.76 ounces | | Manufacturer | Traxxas | | Map Types | North America | | Mfr Part Number | 6551X | | Model Name | TQi GPS Speed Telemetry Module 2.0 | | Model Number | 6551X | | Mounting Type | Dashboard Mount, found in image | | Number of Items | 1 | | Operating System | Android | | Screen Size | 2 inches | | Supported Satellite Navigation System | GLONASS, GPS | | Touch Screen Type | Capacitive | | UPC | 020334655196 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Traxxas - **Connectivity Technology:** Bluetooth - **Included Components:** (1) GPS Speed Telemetry Module - **Map Type:** North America - **Model Name:** TQi GPS Speed Telemetry Module 2.0 - **Mounting Type:** Dashboard Mount, found in image - **Operating System:** Android - **Screen Size:** 2 inches - **Special Feature:** Waterproof - **Vehicle Service Type:** Radio-Controlled Vehicles ## Images ![TRA6551X Telemetry GPS Module 2.0, TQi Radio System (Compatible only with #6550X telemetry Expander) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/515+Zsq8M9L.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/102592436-tra6551x-telemetry-gps-module-2-0-tqi-radio-system-compatible](https://www.desertcart.us/products/102592436-tra6551x-telemetry-gps-module-2-0-tqi-radio-system-compatible) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
