Warm and effective. It also takes a lot of forgetting to wash them before they start to smell, have only ever managed that one. Not too warm at 20 F but kept me warm at 0 F. Excellent. I'd tuck this into my goggles at the top of Jackson Hole when the wind was gusting 60 mph and snow was blowing everywhere and it was 25 F and didn't get too warm.
