Review: Excellent beginners loom! - This is a great beginner's or children's loom. It arrived used with someone else's mangled weaving on it. I requested a return and they accepted, but nothing looked damaged and I was anxious to get going, so I kept it. I'm very experienced in a lot of textile arts but am a first-time weaver, and this loom is perfect for learning! The rotating ends for tightening your warp string are very convenient, and I haven't had any issues with them loosening. The two interior horizontal bars are convenient for keeping the first few rows straight without having to insert a piece of cardstock. The comb is alright, but I think I might replace it with a smoother one. I can't speak to the heddle or shuttles since I'm starting with twill, so I'm using a nailbinding needle that didn't come with the loom to weave with instead. The warp pegs are pretty wide. I wanted to work with worsted and have a somewhat tight weaving as I'm starting with twill, so I opted to double warp and it worked really great. When double warping, my EPI is 8, which means the loom itself is 4 EPI. I imagine if you're an experienced weaver you might have some complaints I haven't noticed, but as someone learning for the first time I'm extremely happy with this loom.

It is very sturdy and will provide hours of enjoyment. I recently bought the Melissa & Doug Loom and it is much larger and stands upright if you want it to.

**Q: Can the size of the project be changed?**
A: Hi, the size is fixed, if you need another size, we can customize the size for you, do you need how many?

**Q: How do you remove the piece once its done?**
A: Loosen the wing nuts on one end, twist a little bit and the finished woven piece will be free.  Carefully knot the ends. Tuck in the tied ends on the bottom side, knot the ends on the top for the hanging bar.

**Q: What type of wood-it says "natural wood material" which does not mean quality-real wood, so is it composite or hard wood?**
A: This was a gift to a friends child, so I didn't actually use it, but I know it was made of real wood. Unsure of the type tho. I am told buy the parent that the spacer thing, forgot the terminology, is difficult to use. It supposedly allows the strings to move around, and you have to keep adjusting them back into position, if you can.

**Q: What is the comb shaped thing that comes with the loom used for? What is it called?**
A: Oddly enough, it is called a comb. It is used to pack the fibers together.
