Review: The Warn legacy for durability, and great design lives on - I have been using Warn winches for more than 40 years, and the new ZEON series is the best so far. I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I mounted the winch myself using the stock bumper. I am proficient at most things mechanical, but mounting it to the stock bumper is what takes the time. It is a fairly well designed and heavy duty Warn mounting unit, but as all things go, it took some pain staking patience putting it on the front of my jeep. I first ran into the problem of the carriage bolts that come with the mounting hardware not wanting to stay in their square slots so that the bumper could be tightened when remounting it to the Jeep. I ended up removing the bumper again, and welded the carriage bolts into their square slots so they wouldn't keep slipping out when tightening the bumper to the frame of the Jeep. The other issue I had was some of the holes not lining up well, so be prepared to do some drilling. All in all, Warn makes the best winch in my opinion, they are heavy duty and WATER PROOF, cheaper winches are not, and believe me, a winch will see water and a host of other elements. A Warn winch is the most money you will ever spend that you hope you never need. :-) Review: outstanding - WARN should be synonymous with power winches; they are the best and the only one that I will trust on the rigs I have owned.
