Review: Make Sure This Is The Issue - Ok guys so i bought a 2008 .:R 32 from a dealership with 100k miles on it for a great price, i put 3000 miles on my car without issue, all of a sudden on the highway i get off the exit ramp and my car starts to idle rough and make a crazy whistling sound almost like a tea kettle, some research online pointed out it would be the oil separator within my valve cover, and Volkswagen DOESN'T sell it desperately. So with that said i bring it to my mechanic and he was unsure as far as to what could be wrong a few things came up as possibilities such as the valve cover needing to be replaced, the rear main seal etc. so he advised me to take it to Volkswagen to be diagnosed thoroughly, and 180$ later for ONE HOUR OF LABOR they told me it was the oil separator and that it would cost me 1865.45 PLUS TAX almost 2200$.....
