So let me give you all the pros and cons: 1) Cotton is a natural fiber and that means it will breathe, you won’t sweat or get hot and unlike synthetic fabrics like polyester, spandex, nylon, rayon etc., cotton does not contribute to vaginal infections or irritation. Ask your Gyno. Sellers will claim breathability with other fabrics but it’s a complete lie. The only breathable fabrics are natural fabrics: cotton, silk, wool. 2) It is soft, comfortable and lightweight. Not buttery soft bc that’s a characteristic of synthetic fabric. No thanks. They have a natural give and stretch as all cotton does but not as much as a spandex stretch. These are knit cotton, like a Tshirt. Not woven cotton like a man’s button down work shirt. 3) All cotton shrinks with heat. A bummer but totally worth it to me to get pure cotton. And I know what I’m getting into so I size up. If you wash these in cold and line dry- they won’t shrink. I’m not that careful; so expect shrinkage if you put them in the dryer! 4) They are on the thin side (not cheap thin- just light) and occasionally( not with every pair), after a year or two, I’ve experienced some holes in the crotch area.
