You still get two large main compartments, front utility pocket with organizer, pleated front stash pocket and zippered front stash pocket keeps all your gear organized. Review: Fits A lot! - Came as expected! As a junior in high school with a heavy course load and 4 AP's i have a bunch of binders per class that are a tight fit in a regular backpack. In this it fits everything and still leaves room for other stuff like my pencil pouch, makeup bag, brush, calculator and other miscellaneous items that i had to shove and force into my old bag. In addition the material is pretty thick and high quality so its durable and withstands the weight of my textbooks too on some days when i have to bring it to school. The style is like any other back pack, though I've noticed the size def helps with the weight a lot better without straining or leave my shoulders as sore. I do wish it was a lil cheaper as i paid out of pocket from the little money i make from my job and considering it is necessity for all students, however, for the brand, quality and the spacious room u get I think it's overall worth it

I do wish jansport had more design options for boys. They have so many cute “girly” designs but hardly anything for boys. Can you team up with NFL or college teams to do some sports logos, or maybe just sports themed backpacks in general would be a great option!

**Q: Is there side pocket for water bottle?**
A: Mine does have a mesh pocket on the side that I use for my water bottles.

**Q: Does this back pack have a spot for laptops?**
A: No spot for a backpack like a Swiss Gear, but it will fit a laptop depending on its size. I have a 17.3" that barely fits in it.

**Q: How sturdy is it? My son's always rips were where the straps meet the bag. He feels he has to carry everything all the time, need a really sturdy one.**
A: Jansport has a lifetime guarantee. My son carries my 25 year old pack. I carried 50+pounds in that pack for 10 years. It's been redone a few times, but we love it 25 years later.

Such an amazing bag for school, I’ll always use JanSport. My laptop is completely undamaged, because the laptop compartment is so cushiony and obviously made out of good material. I’ve had the bag for two school years and it looks good as new. It’s a good base bag to put keychains and pins on. There’s a lot of pockets, I put my binder and a few books in the bigger one and than in the 2nd compartment I put my makeup bag and emergency kit. This is such a useful bag and it works amazingly. My stuff is never wet when I walk through rain, and cleaning is super easy, just plop it into the washing machine and it’s completely spotless.
