Does the fan run always like with the rheostat controller or does the fan only turn on while heating? Thanks** A: Hello, thank you for your enquiry, this controller does not alter the primary functioning of the heater, though I'm a little unsure what you mean by the 'fan'. The heater combustion air blower motor speed is controlled via the heater internal ECU, dependent upon the difference between ambient temperature and desired/ set temperature. If you have a rheostat or any other Webasto controller ( including this multicontrol) then ambient temperature is referenced via the heater inlet air sensor. It is possible to fit a remote room sensor in addition if this reference point is not suitable. On specific later model RV and Marine spec heaters the heater will switch off completely at desired temperature (then restart when temperature drops below set point). Which heater model do you have, Air Top 2000, or 2000ST, or 2000STC? or a larger model? **Q: I apologize if this is a silly question, but does this controller set the temperature to dictate a duty cycle? Or is it simply a timer?** A: Yes, it sets a temperature but it will use a reference temperature being sensed at the heater inlet by default. It does not use a temperature sensor built into the Multicontrol. This will not be noticed if the heater is located in the same living space as that which needs to be monitored and regulated, but would need to be considered if you wish to draw in outside air through the heater or perhaps if it is mounted in another room etc. Alternatively it is possible to purchase a remote room temperature sensor if required **Q: Is it possible to expedite the shipping on one of these?
