I didn't want to invest another thousand plus dollars in a new drone, So I was going to try out a lens to fix the fish eye on the Hero 3+. The lens was inexpensive compared to the other GoPro replacement lenses I saw with different viewing angles. I wasn't sure if it would work. I was worried about the Ir coating and what that would do and vignetting, etc, etc. I took the old lens off and put the new one on, turned and turned and it finally came into focus. It did wiggle a little. That would cause it to go a little out of focus in any vibration. I used a little teflon tape around the treads and its tight in the housing and doesn't wiggle. The image looks sharp and I found myself using the modified 3+ more than my hero 5 on the last shoot. I haven't tried the modification on other GoPro models but I want to maybe get a Hero 4 ant try it. My drone will only hold a hero 3, 3+, 4.
