He likes to stretch, so I think the smaller would've been too neat. The 85cm is a perfect fit for a labradoodle or spaniel sized pooch. The bed is well made with strong material and stitching. It has high sturdy sides that help to keep the draft out. The removable base cushion is nicely made, but I would've liked to see a little more filling. This minor detail wouldn't deter me from buying the product again. If you get the same size or bigger, the side section is too bulky for the average washing machine, but the base cushion is easily washed. Five stars are well deserved.
