When she does the raw chicken and beef on the bambo cutting boards the juices wash off easily. I am a bit anal when it comes to the bacteria so it's very hot water, bacteria soap. Some times bleach if the board has been left out for awhile. Like all cutting boards after heavy or long time usage knife grooves happen but that's what's so impressive with the hard wood bamboo which we have had several months now.
